Experts in continuous corrosion monitoring
Permasense® is the world leader in the field of continuous corrosion and erosion monitoring, providing real-time data-to-desk measurement of pipe wall thicknesses in inhospitable and inaccessible environments.
Permasense systems combine ultrasonic sensor technology with wireless communication to deliver data of the highest integrity to the user’s desk, in environments where conventional inspection is restricted, for example by extreme temperature or inaccessibility.
The permanently installed wall thickness sensors use breakthrough waveguide technology, enabling continuous operation even at temperatures of up to 600°C (1100°F).
The frequent and accurate wall thickness data delivered by Permasense systems furthers understanding of the impact of feedstock decisions, including processing of opportunity, heavy and high acidity crudes, enabling the optimisation of corrosion prevention and mitigation strategies by tighter management of chemical inhibition programs, and informing decisions about equipment life, the timing of maintenance and replacement.
Combining market knowledge, technical expertise and innovative solutions Permasense’s tried and tested monitoring systems have been designed in partnership with oil refiners and upstream operators.
