Current Prices

Heavy crude OSPs are set lower for second straight month in July.

Official Selling Prices (OSPs) for select heavy grades fell in July, set lower for the second month in a row but the declines were not as steep as were seen for the June prices. The Arabian Heavy price only inched down, while other grades saw larger drops. All OSPs hit period lows in July, and the outright price for Indonesian Duri fell in May (the latest month that full pricing was available) and also settled at a period low. The following chart shows OSP trends for Arabian Heavy, Iranian Heavy, Basra Heavy, Duri, and Maya heavy crudes from Feb. through July 2017. [Note: Arabian Heavy, Iranian Heavy, and Basra Heavy are priced against the Oman crude benchmark, while Maya is priced against the US West Texas Intermediate benchmark, and Duri is priced outright.]
