Crude production from the US shale play has already recovered from the pandemic-induced downturn that occurred in 2020, with the EIA reporting that Permian Basin production reached a record high of over 5MM b/d in Jan.

According to the EIA's latest Drilling Productivity Report (DPR), liquids output from the Permian Basin is expected to hit a new record of close to 5.076MM b/d this month, up from 4.996MM b/d in Jan., as oil and gas firms in the shale play ramp up activity to take advantage of rising oil demand and prices.

The ongoing rise in US shale output, led by the Permian Basin, is expected to continue over the coming months as US shale producers look to boost activity to capitalize on rising oil demand and prices.

Oil India USA, a subsidiary of Oil India Ltd. (OIL), has sold its entire 20% stake in the Niobrara shale play in the Denver-Julesburg Basin to Verdad Resources LLC for $25MM.
